If you are suffering from toothache, have had an injury that requires immediate attention, or have a dental issue that can’t wait, please call us on 01 525 2670 to book an emergency appointment at one of our clinics.
At Dame Street Dental we truly are experts in handling dental emergencies – as a central, accessible clinic open 7 days a week, 365 days a year, our highly experienced clinical team have treated thousands of patients who have been caught off guard with dental pain or trauma and will effectively and rapidly resolve any issue you are experiencing.
We understand that toothache can be excruciating and will cater to this when you visit us.
We can advise you over the phone on the best ways to help you cope with the discomfort if you cannot see us immediately, and our dentists will do all they can to stop the pain during your appointment.
Your dentist will first prioritise reducing your pain, often through the application of local dental anaesthetic. Once you are comfortable, they will carry out a full examination of your problem tooth or area of concern, and advise you of the best course of treatment that can be carried out there and then. With your consent your dentist will then proceed with this emergency treatment right away – our goal is not only to resolve your immediate symptoms and get you out of pain, but far beyond that. At Dame Street Dental we don’t believe that a brief, prescription-focused emergency appointment to tide you over until a full appointment can be booked is good enough – when our dentists see patients for urgent care we prioritise treating and resolving as much of your underlying dental issue as possible during your emergency appointment, not later.
Following your urgent care and the beginning or resolution of your treatment, your dentist will assess your overall oral health situation, including any underlying issues which have caused or contributed to your dental emergency, and they will be able to give you a full treatment plan for any further treatment or procedures which you require to fully resolve the issue. Your emergency treatment also includes any prescription, for example for an antibiotic or pain relief, that is required as part of your treatment. Your dentist will be happy to answer any questions you may have at this stage and provide full explanations for future treatment that is recommended.
We understand that you may be concerned about the cost of your emergency treatment, which is why our dentists always include a full breakdown of total costs, and also an estimate of time until completion, of any additional dental work advised in your individual treatment plan. We believe in making quality, modern dental care accessible to all, and so we provide a number of different payment plan options so that you can choose to spread the cost of treatment out over time, and easily incorporate your dental healthcare into a plan that best suits your budget, needs and lifestyle.
Our front of house team will arrange any further appointments required to complete your treatment and restore your smile.
